12 Americans not only develops content but also increases viewing of TV newscasts and traffic to a Web site by developing a closer interactive relationship with a network’s audience.
| "In an era of declining audience loyalties and increased competition, it is critical that local TV stations develop news-making content that gives a voice to their communities, integrates the power of their television and online news properties, and provides advertising opportunities for both - all with the objective of getting users to bookmark the station's Web site and viewers to return to the station's newscasts every day." |
